In general, a temporary overvoltage (TOV) on the healthy phases occurs because of neutral-shift phenomenon during single line-to-ground (SLG) fault. The TOV can destroy insulation electric devices and cause damage to other equipment customer loads in just few cycles. practice, be affected by numerous factors: sequence reactance ratio interconnection transformer, load DG, distance More importantly, inverter-based distributed generations (DGs) have different influences from traditional synchronous-machine-based DGs. this sense, work performed an efficient comprehensive investigation effect these various parameter types their extensive variations, based steady-state analysis with equivalent circuits three-dimensional representations. proposed methodology facilitate judging impact multi-parameter conditions readily comparing fault characteristics Finally, results used for future studies mitigation techniques.
